Time: 5 Periods Unit 5-Passover Week: 1 Dates: January 14th -18th
1. Students will discover the symbolism of the Passover feast in a Christian context.
2. Students will identify the different foods of the Passover, why they are eaten, and where they are placed on the Jewish table.
3. Students will reflect upon the meaning of the Passover by writing a paragraph describing what they learned.
Monday
1. Take Exodus 1-14 Quiz (review)-open book test.
2. Lesson 1-the importance of remembering. How the Passover (Seder) is a memory tool.
3. Assign items to bring. Friday.
Tuesday
1. Exodus 12:1-14. Make a list of what is taught about the Passover.
2. Exodus 12:15-20-Passover process.
3. Meal items handout. Memorize the items and their meaning (due Thursday) and their place in the dinner set-up.
Wednesday
1. No Apologies
Thursday
1. Passover quiz.
2. Reminder-bring in items tomorrow for celebration.
Friday
1. Passover service.
2. Reflective paragraph on what they learned.
